What is the difference between a repellent and a bug killer?

Repellents repel! They're designed to keep mosquitoes away. And our brilliant scientists have concluded that something can't bite you if it isn't near you. We keep mosquitoes away by using ingredients that affect an insect's senses (mostly taste and smell) in order to prevent them from finding a human or animal host. And bug killers do exactly what you'd think. They effectively kill targeted bugs by direct contact, and can be sprayed right onto insects both indoors and outside.

What bugs do your products work on?

See label. We have bug killers that work on ants, roaches, spiders, flies, wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, gnats, or fruit flies. However, each bug spray is designed to work on specific bug types, so check each product to see which specific insect(s) it kills. Our repellents are a bit more straightforward – some are effective against mosquitoes, and others are effective against mosquitoes AND ticks, when used as directed!

Are your bug killers plant-based?

Our bug killers are made with botanical extracts and also include non-plant-based ingredients.

When will my credit card be charged?

Your card will be charged as soon as your order has shipped.

Do you ship to my country?

We currently only ship to U.S. states, excluding Alaska and Hawaii. Unfortunately, we cannot ship orders to other countries, including Canada, U.S. territories, or military bases at this time.

Do you offer free shipping?

Fed Ex Ground shipping will be waived at checkout for orders of $29 or more shipping within the domestic US. Tax does not count toward order total. A flat-rate shipping charge of $13.99 will be applied at checkout for orders under $29.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Most shipments typically arrive at your door within 3-7 business days of placing your order. You will receive an email confirmation with a tracking number when your order has been picked up by our carrier. Deliveries may take longer during times of high demand or inclement weather. If you haven't received your package within 10 business days of placing the order, please don't hesitate to contact us via our contact form. The STEM team is here for you and happy to help.

How do you calculate shipping charges?

There is a standard flat rate cost for shipping, regardless of the weight or size of your order.

What is your refund policy?

If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason, please contact our Customer Service team at 877-869-7546, Monday through Friday, 8AM - 5PM CST and we'll make it right. Please note that PayPal transactions are time-sensitive; any PayPal orders over 90 days may not be available to be reprocessed.

When will the credit appear on my credit card?

You will receive an email confirmation when your refund has been processed, and the credit has been applied to your credit card. Please note, it may take up to 10 business days for the credit to appear on your credit card.

How do I cancel my order?

Because we start processing your order as soon as it is submitted, we cannot cancel or edit your order after it is submitted. If you still have concerns, please contact Customer Service at 877-869-7546, Monday through Friday, 8AM - 5PM CST and we'll make it right.

Why was my order cancelled?

Unfortunately, from time-to-time we have to cancel an order or a portion of an order due to product being unavailable or out-of-stock at the time of shipment. Your order may also be cancelled if the shipping carrier was unable to complete the delivery or the shipment was damaged in transit. If your order is cancelled, we make every effort to reship the order. If we are unable to reship, you will receive an email confirmation, and a full refund will automatically be processed for the portion of the order that was cancelled. Please note, it may take up to 10 business days for the refund credit to appear on your credit card.

How do I check the settings or status of my subscription?

To check the settings or status of your subscription, first log in to your account. Once logged in, click 'Manage subscriptions'. You should see an overview of any subscriptions, active or on hold. You can view your recent orders, manage your shipping and billing addresses, and edit your password and account details. If you have any questions regarding your account, please contact us.

How do I modify my subscription schedule, change the quantity, or size of products?

To modify your subscription schedule or to add and remove products, simply log into your STEM account and click on 'Manage subscriptions'. You can reactivate, cancel, place it on hold, or edit frequency all from there.

How much is shipping on future subscription deliveries?

Orders over $29, shipping is free. Orders under $29, shipping is $13.99. Please note, if you have different product subscriptions, the shipment date needs to be the same across all subscriptions to unlock free shipping over $29. You can review your shipment dates in your account under subscriptions.

How do I cancel my subscription?

If you wish to cancel, you can do so online at any time in your account under 'Manage subscriptions'. Select 'More' then 'Cancel' on the subscription you would like to cancel, followed by the reason why. You will receive a confirmation email when your subscription has been canceled.

How do I view future deliveries?

Your next scheduled orders will be listed in the 'Manage subscriptions' section of your account.

What are the terms & conditions for subscriptions?

When you enroll in subscriptions, you will receive repeat deliveries. These are based on the subscription duration and frequency that you select. Your payment details will be stored securely, and you'll be charged for each of these deliveries, unless you choose to skip your next order, put it on hold, or cancel the subscription. Your card will only be charged when an order ships. If you want to cancel or change your subscription, you can do so at any time. You will receive an email reminder 10 days before the order ships. You can either manage your subscription from there or by accessing subscriptions under your account.
